How far is Camping Chvalšiny from Český Krumlov?

Camping Chvalšiny is about 10 km from the historic centre of Český Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Is Camping Chvalšiny suitable for families with children?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny is a family campsite with an outdoor swimming pool, a pond, three children’s playgrounds, sports facilities and a small farm with animals.

Is Camping Chvalšiny suitable for a quiet holiday in nature?

Yes. The campsite lies in the natural setting of the Blanský les forest, away from the bustle of big cities.

In the main season, however, Camping Chvalšiny is a lively family campsite where children play and group activities take place. Guests looking for maximum peace and quiet may especially appreciate a stay outside the main summer season.

Pitches, caravans and tents

How many pitches does Camping Chvalšiny offer?

Camping Chvalšiny offers about 150 separately marked pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents.

The pitches are divided into different sectors of the campsite and can be booked according to current availability.

How big are the pitches?

The pitches at Camping Chvalšiny have a minimum area of 120 m².

That leaves enough space for a caravan, motorhome or tent and the usual outdoor equipment of guests.

How many people can stay on one pitch?

A maximum of 6 people, including children and infants, can stay on one pitch.

If you arrive in a larger group, you need to book the corresponding number of pitches.

Is Camping Chvalšiny suitable for motorhomes and larger campervans?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny offers spacious pitches with a minimum area of 120 m² and electrical hook-ups.

For exceptionally long or large vehicles we recommend contacting reception before booking so we can help you choose a suitable pitch.

Can I come with a caravan or a travel trailer?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny is suitable for caravans and travel trailers towed by a passenger car.

Separately marked pitches with electrical hook-ups and shared sanitary facilities are available.

Can I pitch a tent at Camping Chvalšiny?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny also offers pitches for guests with their own tents.

You can use the sanitary facilities, the pool, sports grounds, the Garden Bistro and other shared facilities of the campsite.

Does every pitch have an electrical hook-up?

Yes. The pitches have 230 V electrical hook-ups.

The standard fuse rating of the hook-ups is 6 A. The availability of any pitches with a higher rating depends on the current technical equipment and the specific sector of the campsite.

Can I choose a specific pitch when booking?

In the online booking system of Camping Chvalšiny you can choose from the currently available options according to the date and type of accommodation.

The availability of specific pitches and sectors may vary. If you have a special request regarding the location, you can contact us before booking.

Can larger groups book several neighbouring pitches?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny also accepts group bookings.

If you are planning a holiday with several families or several caravans, we recommend contacting us in advance. Depending on availability, we will try to arrange pitches close to each other.

The maximum capacity is 6 people per pitch.

Rented accommodation

Do I need my own tent or caravan to stay at the campsite?

No. At Camping Chvalšiny we also offer various options of equipped accommodation.

You can rent, for example, a Tiny House, CampHouse, an equipped caravan or one of our rented tents. See Pension CampHouse.

What kinds of rented accommodation do you offer?

Camping Chvalšiny offers several types of accommodation for guests who do not want to arrive with their own tent or caravan.

They include Tiny Houses, CampHouse, equipped caravans, Bungalow tents and Tunnel tents.

What is the difference between a pitch and rented accommodation?

A pitch is a marked area to which you arrive with your own tent, caravan or motorhome.

Rented accommodation is a ready-to-use building or an equipped tent or caravan that you book without having to bring your own camping equipment.

Arrival, departure and campsite operation

What are the check-in and check-out times on the pitches?

For all pitches at Camping Chvalšiny:

• Check-in: from 1:00 pm.
• Check-out: by 12:00 noon.

These times are the same for pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes.

What are the check-in and check-out times for rented accommodation?

For Tiny Houses, CampHouse, rented caravans, Bungalow tents and Tunnel tents:

• Check-in: from 2:00 pm.
• Check-out: by 10:00 am.

When is Camping Chvalšiny open?

Camping Chvalšiny is a seasonal campsite, usually open from spring until the end of September.

The exact opening and closing dates may differ each year. Current availability for the 2027 season is in the online booking system.

When do quiet hours begin?

Quiet hours at Camping Chvalšiny begin at 10:00 pm.

We ask all guests to keep noise down at that time and to respect other visitors.

Dogs and pets

Can I come to Camping Chvalšiny with my dog?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny is a dog-friendly campsite.

Dogs are welcome and we have a small welcome gift ready for them on arrival.

During the whole stay dogs must be under the control of their owner and on a lead. Owners must clean up after their dogs. The rules are in the terms and rules of stay.

How much does a stay with a dog cost?

The fee for a dog is:

• Outside the main season: CZK 55 per night.
• In the main season: CZK 60 per night.

Swimming pool, swimming and activities

Does Camping Chvalšiny have a swimming pool?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny offers an outdoor salt water pool measuring 10 × 20 metres.

The pool is one of the main attractions of the campsite, especially for families with children during the summer holidays.

Its operation depends on the season, the weather and current operating conditions.

Can we also swim in the pond?

Yes. There is also a pond for swimming on the grounds of Camping Chvalšiny.

Guests can therefore choose between the outdoor salt water pool and swimming in a natural pond.

What activities do you offer for children?

In the main summer season Camping Chvalšiny organises various activities for children.

Depending on the current programme they may include crafts, painting, sports games, group activities, campfire evenings and other fun. See the current campsite programme.

The programme may change depending on the weather and the season.

Are there children’s playgrounds at the campsite?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny has three children’s playgrounds in different parts of the grounds.

Children therefore have several places to play, and parents can use the other facilities of the campsite.

What sports facilities are available at the campsite?

Camping Chvalšiny offers facilities for volleyball, basketball, table tennis and other recreational sports.

Selected sports equipment can be borrowed at reception, depending on current availability.

Are there animals at the campsite?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny has a small farm where guests can watch, for example, sheep, rabbits and hens.

For the safety and well-being of the animals, we ask visitors not to feed, touch or disturb them without the staff’s permission.

Food, shopping and campsite facilities

Is there a restaurant or bistro at Camping Chvalšiny?

Yes. The Garden Bistro is on the grounds of Camping Chvalšiny.

In the main season it offers breakfasts, lunches, dinners, drinks and refreshments. The specific offer and opening hours may change by period. See the current Garden Bistro menu.

Can I buy fresh bread at the campsite?

In the main season fresh bread and pastries are available at Camping Chvalšiny according to the current operation of the bistro.

Outside the main season the service may not be available. In the village of Chvalšiny there is a bakery shop about a 5-minute walk from the campsite.

Are there showers and toilets at the campsite?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny has shared sanitary facilities with toilets, washrooms and showers with hot water.

The use of showers is included in the price of the stay, with no extra charge for hot water.

Is there free Wi-Fi at Camping Chvalšiny?

Yes. Guests can use free Wi-Fi on the grounds of Camping Chvalšiny.

Signal quality and connection speed may differ depending on the location on the grounds and the current network load.

Are there washing machines and dryers at the campsite?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny offers a laundry room with washing machines and a dryer.

Places for hand washing and washing dishes are also available.

Where can caravans fill up with water and empty waste water?

Fresh water can be filled at reception and at eight other points around the grounds of Camping Chvalšiny.

Emptying points for chemical toilets and grey water disposal points are located at reception.

Can I barbecue or make an open fire on my pitch?

Yes. Barbecuing is allowed outdoors on grills placed above the ground, so that the lawn is not damaged and safety is not endangered.

An open fire is allowed only at the designated shared fire pit.

The use of grills or other devices with an open flame is not permitted in tents or other enclosed spaces.

Can I charge an electric car at Camping Chvalšiny?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny offers electric vehicle charging through an ABB Terra AC charging station at the entrance to the grounds.

Charging electric vehicles from the ordinary hook-ups on the pitches is not permitted.

Booking, prices and payments

How can I book a pitch or accommodation?

You can book online on the prices and booking page on www.mycamp.cz.

In the booking system you enter the dates of your stay, the number of people and choose the type of accommodation from the available offer. The price is calculated automatically before you complete the booking.

Submitting the form is a booking request; we confirm it bindingly by e-mail. If you need help, write to info@mycamp.cz.

How much does a stay at Camping Chvalšiny cost?

The price depends on the dates of the stay, the type of accommodation, the number of people and the services ordered. A local tax of CZK 10 per person aged 18 and over per night is added.

You can try the price calculation without obligation, without completing a booking.

When are the deposit and the balance paid?

For bookings made more than 21 days before arrival, a deposit of 25% of the price is paid, and the remaining 75% no later than 21 days before arrival. For bookings made 21 days or less before arrival, the full price is paid at once.

Can I pay by card?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny accepts payment by card as well as cash.

For online bookings the available payment options are shown directly in the booking process.

What is the cancellation policy of Camping Chvalšiny?

The cancellation policy depends on the type of accommodation booked.

Pitches:

• Cancellation more than 7 days before arrival: no cancellation fee.
• Cancellation 7 days or less before arrival: cancellation fee of 100% of the booking price.

Rented accommodation:

• Cancellation more than 21 days before arrival: no cancellation fee.
• Cancellation 21 days or less before arrival: cancellation fee of 100% of the booking price.

How do I get from Camping Chvalšiny to Český Krumlov?

Český Krumlov is about 10 km from Camping Chvalšiny.

You can drive your own car or use the bus connection from the village of Chvalšiny.

Bus timetables differ by day and period, so we recommend checking the current connection before you travel.

Is the area around Camping Chvalšiny suitable for cycling and hiking?

Yes. Camping Chvalšiny lies in the Blanský les area, which offers hiking and cycling trips.

In the area you will find routes suitable for families as well as more demanding trips in hilly terrain.

According to the current offer, a bike and e-bike rental can also be used at the campsite.

What attractions can I visit near the campsite?

Camping Chvalšiny is a good starting point for exploring Český Krumlov, the Blanský les forest, Šumava and other parts of South Bohemia.

Popular destinations include the historic centre of Český Krumlov, Kleť mountain, Hluboká nad Vltavou castle and Lipno reservoir.
